Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc

Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc

A 7-eleven staff recommended me.

Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc.
Blue bottled beer from france.

I posted a review on their other flavoured beer previously,
din kw I missed a gem.

This refreshing white (wheat) beer
is brewed with a hint of citrus+coriander spice
which makes a sweet and unique flavory modern taste.

I like the strong aroma,
smooth beer,
definitely a hit for the ladies too.

Try it next tme!

Woman at Work

For fear of reprisal I shall not use name.

Just now she went into the room.

The metal plug of our portable night lamp broke
and got stuck in one of the socket outlet
of the multiple extension socket.

She wanted to fix it,
using a pincer to pull out the stuck metal plug.

When I stepped into the room,
I saw her jumped, not of my entry
but because of electric shock.

She got a jet of mild electric shock.

She was using the pincer
while the power was still switched on.

"Ayoh!! U must switch off the power mah.
Dangerous leh, pincer transmit electric (metal).
Do any repair work must off the power."

I took another glanced at her
to see if it was a new her.
Whether her hair was curled.
Free perm.

I got down to help, the 1st thing I did
was to off the main power switch,
then pulled out the main plug from the wall as a precaution.
Safety 1st.

Subsequently, I managed to pull out the stuck metal,
then replaced the broken lamp with a new one.

"Okie, now can ON the main power liao."

I was staring at the new lamp,
heard the clicked sound after her gesture,
and I turned on the switch on the lamp.
Nothing happened. No light.

Puzzled why it didn't work,
I then studied the main wall socket.

She switched on the power switch,
but the main plug was not yet plugged in!

FAINT!
Is it because of the electric shock?!?

~PAIN~

Remember last time I blogged abt the 推拿 (massage)?

Sprained my ankle then kana "tortured"?

I sprained the joint between my thumb and my palm,
this time during soccer, & went back
to the same chinese clinic @Toa Payoh.

 morning queue

 Ren Ti Bao Jian

1st visit few days ago was painful,
but still bearable.
However days later still not recovered.
I went back again.
This time, he touched my thumb
and told me to take out my shirt.

Huh?! I was surprised.
Thumb pain take out shirt?

He explained I might have hurted my back,
as veins are connected from back to the thumb.

He pressed on my left back shoulder
then on my right shoulder.
True as what he's trying to prove,
my right shoulder (right thumb injured) was stiffer.

He deduced me hurting my shoulder
quite some time ago during my sleep.

I didn't believe him at 1st, but after recalling,
yes, last yr I had a couple of stiff neck after my sleep.
If he didn't mention, I wouldn't have remembered.

"Your back shoulder already shifted down.
I will adjust it back"

My heart jumped. *sweat*
The scene of how he caused my pain came back.

the-no-nonsense sinseh @work

I was told to lie facing up with my right shoulder
at the edge of the bed,
and my left hand had to hold "tight" to the other side of the bed.

He told me:
"I am going to rotate and adjust your arm.
It might be painful. Just bear with it and stay relaxed."

He started the pull, and I felt the pain gushing to my whole body.
Then, he hold on to my still swollen thumb & did a twist.

Extremely excruciating pain.
Unable to describe thro words.
The twist caused my joint to dislocate,
I saw my thumb pointing upwards at a 45 degree,
distorted & to my disbelieve, I couldn't recognize my own thumb.
The flesh around the joint hollowed in,
and the area kept throbbing as if it was given a heart.
Am I a Japanese occupation victim?

Gosh, the pain was too extreme
my body convulsed as I shouted:
"MY THUMB!!!"

He continued his rotating of my arm,
totally ignoring my pled and my thumb.
Thus, my distorted thumb was left in the air.
I can see the curved thumb,
similar to those in vampire's movie,
with the pursuing throbbing,
while still rotating my arm.

After few rotation,
finally he held my thumb and twisted it back to original state.
Sharp pain again.

After the ordeal I almost fainted.

Althought painful, this clinic has a good flow of customers.

Morning he only sees 6 customers,
afternoon 8.
No extra patient even if there is time.

This morning I brought my mum there.
Operating at 10.30am,
yet the queue started at 7 plus.
By 9 plus there were already 6 customers.

He's damn good to diagnose my ailment.
Despite the pain he inflicts,
people goes to him,
and makes recommendations to friends.

Just like what he told my mum
seldom u can find a true sinseh nowadays.

Nakamichi mini-speaker review

After a hiatus, I am back to blogging.
My new post, on review of Nakamichi mini-speaker,
a product from the Japanese lifestyle audio company.

Available in 8 vibrant colours,
It is difficult to make a choice.
Every colour is intriguing.
Ultimately I chose the limited edition colour-
Red body with gold mesh.
Cool cool cOol!
Heard it ran out of stock for its 1st series.

Next closest rival is the blue one.

This portable speaker is good for iphone and other audio devices,
with in-built FM radio if u run out of tunes.
The microSD card reader adds as another alternative.

A perfect cube that measures 5cm squared,
this diminutive dynamic speaker weighs 139g.
At full charge, it can provide u with 5 hours of music.

Form factor aside, how is its performance?

Performance Review:

I'll touch on its FM radio 1st.

It is rather disappointing,
when u need to keep the USB cable plugged-in to receive channels.
The reception is quite poor,
up till now I haven't successfully tuned to 93.3 yet.
And I would prefer a display to show the frequency.

Secondly, most importantly, the sound itself.

Powerful with acceptable deep bass.
To make a better judgment, I keep its volume max.
The sound is powerfully loud.
Remarkable, considering its small size.
The sound is crystal clear with minimal distortion.
I can hear the vocal of the singer clearly.
Shiok! Satisfied with this mini monster.

Overall I recommend those
who is looking for a portable yet stylist music companion.
