fatal ferrari accident

The fatal accident caused by the ferrari generated quite a hoo ha online.

I was irked by what happened. What I read online.

1) Why our own media reports more on wealthy china man instead of the victims?

2) Why media only touched on us singaporean as having strong anti-china sentiments,
instead of reporting on the mocking by some PRCs netizens?

3) Why no apology from the culprit?

It's not only a sad accident that takes lives,
but also portay the dark side of humans.
When someone passed away another soul can mock
and even commented a "served him (taxi driver) right"?

What is happening to this world?

I am not against foreign immigrants,
just feel that when they come as guest,
they should follow our rules,
minority follows the majority,
instead of us adjusting to them.

Like the previous episode of a PRC netizen calling Singaporean as dog,
our own minister told us to do self-reflection. This is getting hilarious.

I like this comments by a netizen:

" Last time when Huang Na died, so many stupid Singaporeans donated so much money to her china parents, on the day of her funeral, lined up behind the funeral van, all crying as if their own daughter died. Huang Na’s mother promised to donate part of the donation back to Singapore charity, in the end what happened? They ran back to China and bought a 3-storey house with the money. Not a single cent was given to charity. Now that this fucking china Ferrari driver killed the taxi driver and caused his daughter to have financial difficulty in attending university, do you think any China man, ESPECIALLY THE RICH FAMILY OF MA CHI, will donate even a single cent to support her education??? OR EVEN APOLOGISE??? All these heartless dogs do not deserve any pity! They should all burn in hell!"

Singaporeans donated & help strangers irregardless of their nationality.

Despite the purportedly anti-PRC sentiments,
we see each incident unbiasedly & separately.
We are not patriotically blind.
Tat's something we shld be proud of,
that cannot be taken away by any.

congrats to Man City

I was at grapevine watching the last important EPL match.
What a feast it was.

When the score was 1-0 in Man City's favour,
the crowd, mostly Man United fans,
was so quiet.

Jeeva told me (I was late) after Man City scored,
they were silenced.

Then things took a turn.

Man City let in two goals, both defensive errors.
Now they needed two goals to win the league.

Those silence ghosts behind started their taunting.

Making silly comments like:

"Good, take the ball to the corner flag!"

"Without Yaya Toure they're dead!"

"Title is ours!"

"Try harder next season!"

Dribble dribble! (when QPR got the ball)

"Haha" (when they saw Mancini's desperate face)

I was pissed, thinking of my celebration when the time comes.

Last 5 mins.
To score two goals.
Quite improbable task.

Frankly I was thinking how lucky for Man United to win it this way,
since Man City dominated the league for so long.
And I seriously don't believe City have the time
especially when QPR parked the bus in front of their goal.

When Dzeko equalized, the ghosts were praying.
Still I don't believe Man City could overturn the tide.

When Singtel showed the split screen,
Fergie was looking at the time,
Man City was going nowhere.

It was then on the small screen,
Aguero showed a moment of magic and scored.

We were thrilled.
I clapped and cheered while Jeeva,
pointed his middle finger at United's fans
and shouted a "fuck u!"
I was so surprised by his outburst
at the same time I understood it.
I would have done it if he had synchronized with me

The funny part was how the United fans behaved.
They were extremely quiet after that.
DEAD SILENCE.

Haha.
Never count your chickens before they're hatched.
The agony was how some United fans behave.
With extremely big ego.
Thinking they're far more superior then others.

I don't deny they're a good team.
Excellence work rate.
But please, respect the others.
Clearly u've forgotten the slap Barca gave u on that Champions League night.
Your good time will come when fergie leaves.
And frankly u don't deserve the title this year.

It was an extraordinary finale.
A lesson to learn.

If you believe in yourself,
u can succeed.

And do not expect victory is yrs & mock others when they're down.
The tide will turn.

What a night for the manchester fans.
A different manchester this time.

thought-provoking: Regret

I was chatting with mum when we talked abt dad.
About the past.

He had a brain tumor which affected his speech and conscious.
We could not communicate because of his speech disability.
We wanted to know his thoughts, his wishes.

After the tumour was half-removed
and further shrunken by his chemotherapy treatment,
he appeared more conscious.
But still for some unknown reason- unwilling to speak.

We've always tried ways to open him up, but to no avail,
either because of his disability or his unwillingness,
which we never have the chance to find out.
The question of why he remained slient lingers.

Until when mum recalled & told me a visitor in his ward told her:
"Your husband is so polite.
When I helped to wipe off stains on his mouth with tissue,
he replied: "Aunty, thanks"

I was taken aback. Surprised.
It throws the disability out of the window.
He was able to think and speak.
Towards us, he chose to remain slient.
But why?

Such ironical.
The truth unveiled.
By a easy method- 3rd party.
If only we've delved more,
pressed further, he might have spoken out.
We would have known how he felt then.
Then we'll know why the reticence.

Regret.
Again with the "IF ONLY"
I hate this word.
And I hate question marks.
