Now imagine this- belgian+white beer, add in...strawberry.


Fruli has a delicious and refreshing taste that has been compared
by Time Out magazine to a smoothie with bite…. 
a completely different experience in beer


Strawberry smoothie beer???


With a moderate 4.1% alcoholic level,
how does this compares to those Taiwanese fruit beer?

Bring you to its label:
a concoction of water, barley malt, wheat, fructose hops, yeast,
and PURE strawberry juice.

Pouring into a glass for better view,
the liquid was cloudy and opaque,
not a strawberry red which I've hoped.

First sip, it went down well.
So smooth, sweet strawberry fragrance followed.

It's so easy to drink,
like drinking strawberry juice,
yet did not compromise on the beer factor.
There's also a lingering wheat scent.

I took few more sips,
and immediately fell in love with it.

GOsh, they managed to balance it out,
and do it right.

Unlike those Taiwan's fruit beer,
which is slightly towards soda fruit taste,
this monster retains the necessary beer element.
A beer should remain a beer, despite the fruitiness.

Trust me, this is a girl's drink, 
yet a pleasurable beer.
Finally, something for both genders.

Android Live Wallpaper-Fresh Leaves

Installed a new live wallpaper for my S3.
Damn nice! highly recommended!

There are 3 kind of leaves to choose frm,
pix 1, pix 2, and autumn leaves (pix 3).

On stationary, the leaves move, minicking wind blowing,
of course u can select the wind speed.

When u flip left/right on your screen,
the leaves rotate around in 3D.

Aother plus point of this wallpaper is-
there is a time mode when it will automatically
change theme according to real time.

Five preloaded themes, they are the day view- clear blue sky as background...

and what I call the afternoon view- slightly darken sky....

evening view- slightly dark sky and leaves, with some faint stars...

with numerous twinkling stars,

What I like is the clarity of the theme,
giving my screen a fresh and serene look.

The ability to customize my phone appearance is
what iphone IOS can never give me.
One reason why I never look back after having S3.

who is richer?

This afternoon near a kopi shop,
saw one aunty living behind my hse.

She sat at a corner,
extending her hand out,
while an aunty searched frantically
& gave her a $2 note.

The "begger" lives in 3 storey bungalow.
 Altho she wears dirty & repeating clothings daily.

The philanthropic aunty must have secretly
smiled at herself for doing a good deed.

She'll be flaming if she knows where she lives.

Back to the "begger".
She always cycles ard my district,
and was slightly insane.
She has a sad story behind.
Heard frm her bro,
she used to be a normal child,
which changed after a thunderous day/night.

Of course, not supernatural reason,
just that when she was young,
she was startled by loud thunderous sounds,
until she broke into fever.
Constant high fever,
plus lack of medical attention changed her.

Back to begging.

Once when having supper,
an old uncle,
damn quite old, 70 plus,
white hair, feeble movements,
approached me.

"弟，我没钱吃饭，很饿，给我两块！"

I saw his age and thought of the hunger.
I gave him the money.

I saw him a couple of times approaching others.
He always hungry?

Few weeks later, at the bus stop,
I heard an aunty shouting at him.

"U only know how to bet,
don't bet if u got no money!

Beg those money for gambling,
people at your age shld know how to think!"

So surprising,
guess he've made quite a sum for his hobby.
He stood poker-faced as I wondered if the scolding hit him.

Another day I saw him approaching another.
That guy told him if you hungry I order some food for u,
while u eat infront of me.
As expected, the old man walked off.

Guess tat guy knows his hobby,
his fancy of making best use of his age
and appearance for easy money.

The most power one I saw happened at the bus interchange.
The guy who begged went dwn his knees,
cried and begged profusely+loudly
at a women who was damn fustrated.
Powerful, make people Pai Seh then they'll give.


Also, at orchard,
everyday there will be an aunty with her own chair,
selling tissues.

She wears so clean+nice,
those Ah Ma's flowery silky clothings,
accompanied with bangles and jade,
perhaps even my Ah Ma might lose to her.

I have a feeling she lives orchard.
Just too bored at home.

These people who doesn't need the money
spoils the market.

There will always be people who needs help,
just that they'r mixed & obscured by these grp.

When u give,
u never know who's richer.
The next time u give, make a guess!

Taiwan Mango Fruit Beer

Ordered their mango beer online,
arrived in a week

Hmm... how does mango beer tastes like?

Compared to the rest of fruits beer,
this one's less gassy.

Nice fragrance lingering,
not too sweet,
after awhile can get slightly bitter.
At least this is what beer shld be.
Lychee & white grape are too sweet.

Maybe, something for the boys!

Foosball

 Table Football

Saw a mini table football (foosball) game set @Mini Toons,
measuring just 34.5 cm x 23cm x 7cm.

I was always intrigued by foosball.
While in SIM doing self-study,
Shafie & I would pulled out gold coins
for few games of foosball during our break.
Our frolicking often broke into laughter.

Then I thought- how good is it if I have one @home.

Previously saw mini ones, but those cost above $50 and quite big.


Now this one's fine,
enquired with the staff, expecting steep price.
I was wrong. Just 20 bucks.

Immediately bought a set.
The staff told me have to self-assemble.
They reassured it would be easy.

At 1st, I was quite skeptical on the worksmanship.
Esp such price and frm China.

When I opened the box,
Everything was packed neatly.
Instructions sheet was available in clear steps.

Even the foosmen
(another new word learnt,
it's those players on the "satay stick")
were nicely wrapped.

The worksmanship was good for that price.
The screws were also packed in ziplock.

 DONE!!! It's game time!

It took me 1 hr to assemble,

few steps I had to redo.

Because I act smart screw in the parts 

without reading the instructions.

Some parts will have to go in first.

If u thinking of getting a set,

just remember to follow the instructions,

and don't lose the screws. There'r no extras.

Not only foosball,
they have pools in such size as well.

Now it's game time.

My next challenger would be my nephew.

iphone 5 revealed!

Iphone 5 revealed.
Quite disappointing.
Slimmer phone, larger screen, more icons,
a refreshed operating system.
Where is the "wow" factor?

Taiwan Beer Review

Taiwan Beers are here! (since last yr)
Interesting are the lychee and white grape beers.

 Endorsed by Jolin Tsai, how good can the beers be?

1st, the normal taiwan beer. Won some awards.
A chinese newspaper purports no beer belly because of higher concentration of barley malt*.
Wow! beer minus the belly.
What else can drinkers ask for?

1st gulp, quite tasteless when compared with other beers.
Like drinking water.
The advantage- seems less gassy,
smooth, thus a good drink to "TAH" with ppl.

But don't think season beer drinker will fall in love with this.

White Grape Fruit Beer

Next, sweet touch white grape fruit beer.
Only 3.5% alcoholic level,
compared with the rest of the beers having 5% and above.
1st glanced got a shock when it read 9%.
So..9% is the fruit juice concentration. Faint.

1st gulp, tasted like soft drink, or perhaps soda white grape.
Good thirst-quencher, can drink quick.
On completion of the can,
the effect does kick in sightly.

So... 3.5% do trickles!

 

 Lychee Fruit Beer

Finally, the best sellers of all.

This flavour was sold out on few supermarkets.

Ladies favourite- Lychee Fruit Beer.

Strong lychee flavour like those canned lychee dessert.

Same as white grape, tastes more of a softdrink.

Conclusion:

The series of drinks cater well to the ladies.

Good if u dislike those bitter beer taste.

This morning went to buy Prata.
While queuing, found someone extremely sexy.

Thought he wearing tight shorts,
but on second look,
he's wearing a swim trunk.
And he's at kopi tiam.

Wrong place wrong wear.
