=(

Imagine a mum saying this to her long lost friend
when she asked her for latest update:

"My son is tall, fat and has a tummy.
Now he looks like an uncle."

That mum is my mum,
and the son is me.

" 瞎咪!"

張君雅小妹妹- The full series

I wanted to know the wordings on each packet,
and the flavors.
So I bought the whole string of 張君雅小妹妹

Confirmed there's only BBQ flavor,
which I find amazing as each packet consists different colours and numberings,
they shld at least have more than 1 flavor to keep up the hype.

As mentioned on my earlier blog,
they'r linked in column of 5 packs,
with numberings going in ascending orders from top to bottom.

Which means, the 1st potential buyer will see the wordings on 5th pack tat reads:
(click pix to enlarge)

Pleading for buyers

On the 4th pack:

Warning! While stock last

On the 3rd pack:

Only 3 left!

On the 2nd pack:

君雅妹 is angry, wat u waiting for?

On the 1st and last pack:

What?! Last one?

I esp like the last pack.
Shocked faced, exclaiming:
" 瞎咪!"

Wahaha. Bery 台。

Johnny English Reborn

Johnny English Reborn

CAST:
Rowan Atkinson, Natalie Imbruglia, John Malkovich

STORY:
After a failure to stop an assasination,
Johnny English has been living in remote Tibet,
honing his skills.
When his previous agent, MI7,
learns of a plot to kill Chinese premier in British soil,
Johnny English was recalled, and was back in action.
Can the long hand long leg guy stop the assasination plot?

HOW I FEEL:

I was looking forward to this,
since it's ages I last watched a comedy,
and I miss Rowan Atkinson.
His body language, his expression, his silliness.

The show started with him in Tibet,
doing some silly stunt, causing laughter around the theatre.

During the whole show I was fully engaged,
always waiting for him to put the wrong footing and to rebalance himself.
This, it did not disappoint.

Humor wise, the scene at MI7 conference was funny,
causing continuous laughter.
Guess we just love to see him embarrassed in the public.

Other than this, the rest was okie,
but on the tag of Rowan Atkinson,
I would expect more laughter than this.

張君雅小妹妹

張君雅小妹妹

Try this titbits with exotic name-
introducing... 張君雅小妹妹!

Got to matchmake u with her.

She's Taiwan's 妹妹,
available in four/ five different packaging
labeling 1 to 4/ 5
each packaging different colours+ facial expression.

I didn't take note if they'r of different flavors.
I picked a pack becoz of its extraordinary name.

My selection was the angry faced 君雅妹.
(why I sounded so close to her)
BBQ flavored "noodle",
numbered 2 on the pack.

Similar to the Mamee Monster.
She's an instant noodle crackers.
One of my fav.

However unlike the monster,
she does not have separate powder to mix up with.

She's crispy, tasty
and one aspect she wins Mamee Monster is-
at least she's not tat salty.

撒娇 Orh!

When I flipped over,
I was surprised she even HAS A BLOG!

GOsh, now she sounds real.

Check out her blog below
to see if she looks like 蔡依林, 林志玲 OR 如花

Excruciating Part 2...It all ends here

As luck would have it,
my ankle still swollen,
decided to visit the same Chinese physician
for the second and the last tme.

This tme I went mentally prepared,
knowing wat to expect.

I'll bite my teeth this tme,
and go through the whole treatment
without any complain.
Esp the silly plead.

He saw my ankle, again I laid on the bed.

Similar to round 1,
he singled out and rubbed my most painful vein using his thumbs.

It was painful but I was determined to go through.
This tme he stopped shortly.

Then he searched and brought out a wooden knob.

You know, those cooking wok,
normally have dark wooden knob attached on its cover,
which acts as insulator for your hands.

Using it, he pressed it against the vein on my swollen ankle,
and began scraping it with force.

I didn't expect wood to be a weapon in Part 2 sequel.
The all powerful magical wand indeed.

Worse of all he aimed at my most painful and vulnerable vein.

Scraping hard object on protruding ankle knuckle
would be painful even for an uninjured person,
let alone on a swollen one.

I gritted my teeth for this.
I felt my vein getting caught between the wood and my bone,
every scrapping stroke was electrifying.

My vein felt vividly like a worm placed on the ground
with its body crushed over by a stone.

He was playing "scratch and win" on my vein.

To think it went on for at least 2 mins.

I controlled till my body was tilted,
leg twitched to 45 degree,
toes convulsively clenched.

Really like POW victim, kana tortured for information.

The ordeal was damn long,
until beads of sweat formed on my forehead,
and I felt oxygen thinning away.

My head was light and face turned cold.
It's my last straw.

I exclaimed:
"Cannot liao, I want to faint liao!"
(Sia, another silly words shot out frm my mouth.
No wonder torture works~when in pain everything pours out.)

He ignored me, and stopping only at his time.

Phiang, now I know how pain can caused blackouts.

I wonder if the same treatment goes to the girls.
What I do kw is- I'll nvr dare go back to him.

Wat a scary experience.

窃听风云2

Overheard 2
Cast:
刘青云、古天乐及吴彦祖

Story:

Law Man-Seng (刘青云), a established dealer, was involved in a car accident.
Police Officer Ho Chin-Keung (古天乐) investigated and found
listening surveillance devices in his car,
planted by Joe (吴彦祖) who was out to wiretap
the whole 'Landlord Club' members+leader who caused his dad's death.

It's an act of vengeance against wealthy and eminent business tycoons.
The number of 'stars' given by the papers
makes me wonder what kind of storyline they've brewed
to garner such response, esp it being a HK movie.

Furthermore, frm the producer of Infernal Affairs. Wow wow!

I've watched Part 1,
not bad as far as I would remember.
Now to part 2!

How I feel:

The movie starts off with some vehicle chasing,
the sacrifice being a Ferrari instead of some old car,
making me seat up and expect more to come.

As usual, each characters have their own story.

They talk abt 刘青云's story,
of hw he got involved in the mysterious club formed
by few tycoons and made big bucks.

And the narrating of 吴彦祖 background, her mum+ his dad.

Then they touches on 古天乐's painful past of arresting his astray wife.

Quite surprisingly, none of those spectacular,
none of those touches any nerve, nor draws any tears.

Plain story aside,
they unable to bring me into the story,
or rather, bring the characters alive.

To quote one eg,
古天乐+wife, upon her released frm jail,
the pair wears on extreme distress,
trying very hard to be emotional,
yet no flashback scene.
Just narratives,
then the expression and the face.

Feels like seeing two strangers crying on the street,
yet unable to pity them.

Extremely awkward+ineffective.

The most painful part belongs to the ending/ action part,
which is supposed to be the crux,
when 吴彦祖 takes revence by coercing 刘青云 to manipulate a stock exchange.

The usual nerve-wracking music plays in the background,
on the screen they starts to draw a divider, tabulate a buy sell column,
noting every transaction to heighten the anxiety.

I'm not a dealer, I believe so too r the rest (except a couple of them ther perhaps),
who do not understand or share it's excitment
or watever repercussion every "sell or buy" brings.

It's analogy to watching a group of senior citizens playing the 十二支 card game
without knowing how to play.
Frustrating!

Mid into the show,
I can sense the boredom and restlessness frm the audience.
I kept waiting for the movie to conclude so tat I could shop outside.

My Review:
ONE AND A HALF OUT OF FIVE

This time my opinion
adamantly differs frm the reviewer's ratings.

Other than the star-studded cast,
one of the worst HK movie I've watched.

Excruciating!

I wanted to blog on the latest movie, Overhead 2,
but guess this one have to come 1st.

Just now I went to the Chinese physician for sprained ankle,
frm Fri's st soccer game.

My trailing foot stroke against the ground,
& I fell to the floor.

Results- swollen ankle and a shorten game.

My mum's friend recommended this physician @Toa Payoh,
old aunty can't walk go liao recovered.

An eccentric rule,
he only takes in max 6 person in an afternoon,
and will turn away the 7th person,
irregardless of how good his business is,
coz he will exhaust his 'energy'.
Sounds a "laborious" job.

Double confirmed frm mum's friend's warning-
It's damn painful.

Anyway, no pain no gain.

As today the swollen did not subside,
I went for a visit.

Reached ther, waiting area was packed.
Giving me the confident
I would b returning to normalcy real soon.
Thankfully, I'm the last person for the day.

To think they even had
the door locked to prevent new walk-in.

Fast forward to my turn.
I was told to lie down instead of sitting.
GOsh! Lie down pain can travel faster to the brain.

With bated breath,
the sinseh took out a cloth and rubbed some ointment on it.

My eyes stayed with him,
I saw him freezed there,
poker-faced, eyes fixated.

My heart kept pounding becoz
it seems like he's "generating" his energy.

He prepared two hot towels and started to place them on my foot.
Then told me:
" U still can wait until few days to come for treatment."

The ordeal began...

He started to turn my foot clockwise,
then pulled it away frm me.

There was a cracking sound.

In my shockness,I heard his voice:
" U heard it rite! U heard it rite?!"

"Ya Ya!"

I tried to be as excited as him,
to reassure him hoping he would shorten the treatment.

Then he started to hang my foot on the towel,
and gave another forceful pull.

The pain level was already 50%.
He did a total of three pulls,
and I was told to get dwn and try walking.

I walked with pain, I just couldn't walk upright.

Again he told me to get on the bed.

"Huh? Again?"
As expected, he did not reply.

Then he started to rub his thumbs on my swollen ankle.
Yes, rub. As if he was doing hand laundry.

The excruciating pain was too much to bear,
I sprang up, pleading with him to stop,
at the extent of even stupidly calling him
老板, 够了.

He just kept rubbing.

My tears started to form on the edge of my eyes.
Damn painful, damn boh pian.

He stopped just before I fainted.

My veins felt painful, whole leg affected.
Convulsion was overwhelming, as my legs kept shaking.

He told me my ankle was dislocated.

I thought if there was another round
my urine would dripped out.

It's over.
Another visit required if my swollen does not subside in few days time.

Hopefully not.
