 Last nite was Alex+Jonice's wedding @Copthorne King.

Serendipitously ran into our groom
upon stepping out of the lift.
Quickly grabbed him for photo,
since later he would be too busy.

On our photo,
we almost made a kissing thumb.
Jonice won't be too pleased.

Instant print service

I like the instant print service,
after taking pix,
the photographer gave the memory card
to the uncle @this counter.

Within mins,
printed card-size pix made available.
Wow wow!

The food was good there.
Midway into our dinner,
we chanced upon a familiar figure lurking behind.

Chef tat look like the guy on Channel 8 variety show.

In order not to get the wrong person,
my friend asked him if he was the guy on TV.

Wearing an austere face,
he replied:

"Yes, I'm the one"
Replied wif seriousness and decorous,
wif a slight angle of bowing,
without any air of a celebrity.

He was the master chef in Copthorne King Hotel.

When I asked him for a pix,
he readily came forward.

Despite donning a no nonsense look,
he placed his hand on my shoulder.

For a split sec,

I thought I might be the next Chef Apprentice on TV. 
Thought he has realized my inner potential

based on my looks.

Keeps daydreaming!

Guess on his tap on my shoulder,
he realized instead tat my best cook is instant noodles.

Full of bubbles

I've came across the best seller @a pasar malam.
Wat an experience which I'll like to share.

I went to a makeshift store looking for
a new screen-protector for my Galaxy Tab.

I showed him my Tab how blurred the old protector was,
and he intro me a super clear sheet.

He told me the price, which I agreed.

Then he started to take the product,
& placed it into a plastic bag.

I was taken aback, amazed by his actions.

"Hey, I need u to paste the sheet onto my set."

(thought it's the norm?)

"Orh... I thought u just wan to buy the sheet.

Can paste it yrself."

Phiang, I was surprised.

"Huh? I buy of course need u to paste.

Everytime we D.I.Y the sheet will spoil, wif bubbles.

Thought u all got help to paste?

If not then I don't wan liao."

Reluctantly, he took it frm the plastic,
heaving a sigh of unhappiness.

I felt like giving him a knuckle on his head.
Boh people leh,
he very free why seems like so tough.

As he was doing the job,
I watched carefully at his worksmanship.
My 1st impression was- he's just lazy.

As tme goes by, I changed my perception.
He pasted it 1st tme, bubbles.
Took it off, re-pasted, still bubbles.

Okie okie, I tried to calm myself.
Maybe he's got his own ways.

@this kind of Ah Beng store,
how to discontinue the purchase
when he's already used the sheet?

Then after few unsuccessful tries
to minimize the bubbles,
he tried to press them out instead.
Damn amateur leh.

Thought my set got install air-pump.

1st tme I see salesperson
paste a screen-protector so difficultly
wif so many bubbles.

Using a cleaning cloth, he wiped the screen,
majiam trying to polish,
or trying to summon
a Samsung Genie out frm the screen.

I got worried @my screen,
& the end product.

He even once shook his head.
Wat hell? 7 inch screen liao leh.
So big liao still shake.

Half-way, he even dropped his cleaning cloth on the floor,
discovering only when he needed the cloth, 
he tried hopelessly to find it,
until I solved his awkwardness
by pointing out to him.

He took 10 mins to scribble off all bubbles.
Showed me the finished material.

Thankfully all ok,
except a single bubble on the front camera.
I pointed out to him, surprisingly he told me tat one Boh Pian.
(I saw him tried to eliminate it, but to no avail)

"Buy a cover holder then cannot see liao lor."

Wat an AH BENG way to resolve problems.

I wanted to ask him change another new sheet,
but on second thoughts I didn't.
Since the situation was already tensed,
I scared another attempt, might left another bubble,
worst off, in the centre of the screen.

Virus attack

Wat luck.

Weeks ago sharp pulling pain in my gastric.

Then last Fri pain again, this time wif a fever.

Got to the clinic, doc just told me to relax,
gastric flu.

Okie. Fine.
After medication the fever subsided
but not the bloatedness.

Went to another clinic,
after examination the doc told me:
"No rice for u,
no meat, no vege..."

My eyes opened wide.
WAT? Then I eat wat?

He told me my stomach bery bad,
got virus liao.

Virus caused the fever,
and the bloatedness.

In order to eradicate them,
I've to watch my diet.

And my, it's on such close watch.

No rice, only porridge,
soup bee hoon, or soup kuay tiao.

Got me worried next is...
the hunger tat will accompany these diet.
Esp at nite, the supper part.

I retorted immediately:

"Bread?"

"NO"

I almost fell off my chair.

How long's the torture?

1 week!

My sumptuous ONE COURSE dinner

My dinner was great.
Plain white porridge wif some olive vegetables.

I kw tat's vege but it's in the smallest portion.
If not I'll have to make do wif dark sauce.

Well wat's not bad is...
at least got fish.
If u look clearly at tat pix,
ther's fish on my spoon.
I can eat, look, and imagine having fish.

As expected, a meal without meat
will make me go hungry sooner.

I went downstairs to eat porridge,
and to select the dishes.

Supper

Left wif only eggs and Dao gua.
I've to leave out the vege too.

First tme my supper so cheap- $2.50.
After the meal, I got abit regretful.
I wan a speedy recovery,
shld have stick to plain porridge,
or drown Milo to fill my stomach,
till I'll generate
my own Norton Anti-Virus against it.


Good also la.
Ah Q thinking- Can cut down weight.

here's my finished product.

The owner "cut his love"
and sold me this rock,
which he've got it frm China.
Last piece.

Due to heritage protection,
it's rare gem.

No no he didn't break rules,
he got it last tme when it's lax.

I like the shape, and the stripes on it.
Mimic a mini cliff.

The above cutie funny,
I've a pair, both extremely shy.

Can stop at a position for very long without moving,
and likes hiding.

Due to it's small size (1cm at most),
there r times when half a day they M.I.A.
Can't find them.

Tat's the fun part of keeping an aquarium,
make sure u have something tat appears occasionally.
Sometimes u see it, sometimes u don't.

This yellow+black stripes+blue stomach fish,
didn't kw the english name,
the seller told me chinese is 荷兰凤凰

This cutie likes to stay under the air bubbles,
free massage perhaps.

Another cutie (ard 1cm) quite unique,
transparent body.

Only one, thus quite a lone ranger.

There is this mexican orange crayfish too,
very cute, likes hidding,
occasionally disturbing the rest of the fishes at the bottom.
Quite surprised to find it at the fish store.
Just have to pray it's resilience enuff.

Nostalgic Biscult

Long tme didn't have this biscult.
Round, thin, crispy biscult
in different colours.

Used to be one of my fav.
A crunchy companion of TV programs.

Chip it off frm yr teeth,
high chance the biscult would stick on yr lips.

I didn't kw wat to call it,
Used to call it:
"round round colourful biscult"

Until I saw the words on the packet.

It's called-  "风琴饼"

wat a 诗情画意 name.


Don't leave out our non-chinese friends.
Ther's a translation as well~

Haha. Sounds like a person's name.

Words can Kill

Tat day I went for a briefing for my invigilation work on Sun.
Total 5 person, including me, exam-in-charge,
the rest all above 50, wif huge experience.
Some former retired sch teacher.

The in-charge was briefing this lady,
I'll call her Miss A.
it's her 1st attempt on the assignment.

Her role, toilet lead invigilator,
wif few subordinates working wif her.
Her responsibility
is to prevent cheating when candidates
visit the washroom.

The in-charge told her:
"When candidates go to the washroom,
make sure ur people go in wif them,
physically go into the toilet wif them,
to prevent them frm using phones.


Miss A looked on wif eyes wide wide.
The in-charge repeated, to further drum this into her:

"Make sure they GO IN with them to the toilet"

Miss A, typical type of one who has a 'lost' look.
She retorted:

" U mean, go into the cubicle?"

All of us, except her, bursted out loud-
Spontaneous, hearty laughter.
Those 丹田笑 in strong sharp burst.


 "Hahaha..."

Before I knew it, amazingly,
all of them allowed themselves just 5sec of laughing,
then stopped. Back to business.


Shit. My machine can't stop.


I pictured her standing inside the cubicle,
staring at a befuddled female candidate
doing her business.

Worst, I looked at her again,
I really can't stop.

Instead of an embarrass smile
to excise the pai seh moment,
she wore the
"NO WAT, I thought u meant must 
go into the cubicle with them mah  " look.

Seems as if she's just concern 
whether to go into the cubicle or not.

The moment they stopped, u can hear a pin dropped in the room.
Senior ppl do have implicit mood-control-switch.
After laughing, it's as if it never happened.

I gave a grinding sound of compressed laughter.
Serious meeting yet I laugh @ppl when other's r not.
Sounds amateur if I were to continue laughing.

I desperately filled my mind with other thoughts.
Once I starts, seldom I can stop,
but I managed to pull off this.


Aftermath thoughts...

Sometimes when u have a qns,
instead of running it through ur mind,
u let it off frm ur mouth tactlessly.

Only after u said it, then u realised
how silly the qns might sound to others.
I believe everyone has experienced it before.
Said what u think, then feels like swallowing them back,
or dig a hole to hide.

Those who listen thus forms an opinion of u.

As the adage goes,

Finally, in the span of five days after its launch,
here is my new toy, SH-10c.
Quite surprised by the shipment speed.

Finally, confirmed the signal auto detect
our very own 3G network.

Since I've received it just hrs ago,
here's wat I discovered...

1st bad news.
Still , this phone cannot surf the net.
My seller promised to try some tweak to it.
*Fingers crossed*
(anyway hack it since iphone can surf liao)

An interesting part is the lighting.
U can set various colours for
incoming calls, sms receiving, closing the lid, keypad backlight.

Newly discovered- even when talking on a call,
u can choose to keep the lights flashing.
Tat's super cool. Eye-catching!

And there's ard 6-8 colours to choose,
in a wide variety of flashing patterns.
Including multiple colours combo.

OMG. Can everyday change one new one le.

This phone can't record video in 3D.
However I was told, when loading video into the phone,
just press a button and can view video in 3D.
Wat a technology iphone lacks.

Also, there is 3D picture taking.
Click on the shutter, move the phone towards the right,
the phone auto captures the image
and process it into 3D still image.

I've tried, really works.
The end product looks like,
hmm... how to explain..

Last time those idol YES card,
or those image when u shift sightly left right
majiam can see movement.

However I reckon once uploaded to laptop,
the magic is gone.
Coz, if not wrong, the screen is the magician.
(I'm not able to show u here,
the effect won't be palpable)
