Can't recall whether I've post this before.
Mum happened to bring this pix out,
said I look like my nephew.

I tink he more of share a resemblance to his mum,
tat extreme right xiao mei mei.
Now LAO MEI MEI liao. Wahahaa..
However mum still insisted our ears same same.
My face more round bah!

P.S.~ the 中秋节 pix realli brings back fond memories.

I reme we took this while at our backs,

a table set up, 

full of prayers stuff.

It was the nite to pray to 嫦娥.

If only we could gather all and have another pix, 

exactly the same position,

same smile,

same angle,

and see the differences.

Tat would be interesting.

Barcelona vs Man United

A mouth-watering final,
guess all soccer-manic will catch this game.

Supposedly the best team on earth, Barca,
against England's top team, Man United.

Here are hw I feel & my prediction:

Papers all taking abt how Man U shld find the way to stifle Barca,
or even an individual Messi.

Hold it there... why the lopsided?

Everyone forgotten the ball is round,
and every individual genius can have his off day.

Based on the last few matches of each team,
Barca is on the downward slide while
Man U is racing high in their confidence.

Even Spore pools' odds @Man U win to be $3.35,
Barca on $1.95.
When have u seen a Man U win payout to be above $2?
Simply a look down on Man U esp on a match final.

My bet?
I just place my $15 on Barca to finish them in 90mins.
My heart with Barca,
dollars have to be with Barca
to spice up the tension.
I'm a supporter of Barca,
and a ABM- Anything BUT Man U.

However somehow I've got a bad lingering feeling
Man U might be able to spring a surprise.
Esp they r a team that can soak opponents attack
while springing a lightening counter-attack.
Furthermore their attack can be deadly.

The more I write,
the more excited & the rush of adrenaline.
Let's hope, & let's enjoy.

To avoid over-slept,
I'll b going downstairs for a Kopi Gao,
and stay all the way till the match starts.

Yong Kiat +Jing'er's Wedding

Had a busy day.

Also, my 1st maiden tea drinking.
So gan jiong + damn hungry,
my hands kept shaking.
Haha, guess I need to clock up more experience.
Thought if I take & put back the cups
fast fast nobody would notice,
until the sister who was holding the tray BAO DOH me.

Interesting Invitation

Tommorrow's my bro-in-law's wedding.
Venue @Changi Airport T3.

They've got an interesting invitation card.

A card tat looks like an air ticket (since it's @airport).

On the card, it's written:
" Pls board early as banquet will commence promptly..."

Notice the word 'board',
& the terminal T3.

Then another interesting portion:

flight number, boarding time included.

Destination:

To "MAR"

Just when u tot it's frm Singapore
to some fantasy island,
it's frm Singlehood to Marriage.

So innovative. I like!

New Features!

After tedious+rigorous technical testing,
I'm proud to intro a new feature on my blog.

"My Video Channel"
What?!

Let me explain.
There is a new widget embedded on the right-side,
with the title "My Video Channel"

With two distinguish features.

1st feature- Share Videos

Now, I can take video via iphone,
upload them instantly to my blog,
thus viewers can click & view.

An archive will be stored.
Just click on the menu found on the
bottom-right portion of 'My Video Channel'
to select the clip tat interest u.

Fantastic.
Now I can express myself not only in words,
but in video as well.

It's like exporting my Youtube video uploads
& embedding them on my blog.
Plus, the availability of the menu button makes
selection of all archived video a breeze.

Advantage:

I get to choose what I want to show.

2nd feature- Streaming... LIVE!

Amazing technology.
I can even share 'LIVE' events.

Another different level of engagement.

Once I on my phone and starts video-ing,
everything tat's captured will be shown 'LIVE' on my blog.

Viewers just leave my blog on the computer screen,
and wait for my filming to begin.


The live streaming will auto-start on "My Video Channel"
once my filming rolls.
In short, it's one-way web-camming. 

Thus going to a concert,
venturing some adventures,
going for supper,
or any 'LIVE' event I wanna share,
I'll post the date+timing of the event in advance,
those interested can watch it here
at the stipulated timming.

Disadvantage:

1)Whatever stupid stuff captured would be shared immediately.

If I dig nose, everyone knows!

2) Some lagging is expected when live viewing.

Of all latest range, this caught my eyes.

It's time to get drunk in ur living room, sweetly.

The effective one

The rat was caught last nite.
It chose the mouse 'cage'.
In term of effective,
old remedy still cures.

Mum woke up in the middle of the nite for toilet break, when she heard squeaking sounds.

There it was.
Huge, I was startled on my 1st glance.
Almost reaching the size of a kitty.
Black eyes as big as raisins.

The Er Xin part was to put the cage into the plastic bag.

Heartbreakin incessant squeaking.
I won't kill it.

Only to dispose it,
leave it to his fate whether he survive his ordeal.
Since I don't have the option to release it.

Tink tat's the best conclusion.

Still good chances of someone opening the cage door,
or perhaps hard objects would crush the cage
and it could make his escape like Mas Selamat.

If only he stays in his innate hunting ground,
instead of coming to disturb.

Anyway, he had 4hrs to live and repent.

Thankfully I tot I'll draw stares when I walk dwn the street with a plastic bags tat has squeaking sound.

It kept quiet the moment the plastic bag engulfed the cage.

Good. End of the chapter.
Peace returns when the rat quits.

Traps!

Jap Mouse Glue- strictly for illiterate

Tat day sis saw a rat running across the kitchen,
thus declare a war against it.

Went to a shop to select my 'weapons'.
Got to be as potent + effective.

Weapon 1-

Old skool trap wif a new twist.
This mouse glue trap frm Jap.

As sticking them inside is cruel enuff liao,
they decided to add some humor to it.

This yellowish powder is placed in their route,
The consumption does not kill immediately.

They'll feel thristy, source for water,
die only on a sip of it,
so tat the body will nt be found inside the hse.

Post-mortem will show bursted internals.

So HIONG...
Eat liao cannot drink forever if u wan to survive.

MAJIAM ancient Chinese martial arts huh?
I gave it a deadly name that would strike fear-

Post-Election pix

wif MP Low Thia Khiang

The morning after election day,
me+mum+sis+nephew
were @Kopi Tiam opposite our hse.

In the middle of our breakfast-
the arrival of Workers' Party's vehicle
carrying their members.

Yaw Shin Leong & Lee Li Lian were spotted.
Oh ya.. tat kopi tiam's under Hougang.
No Low Thia Khiang, no others.

Only managed to took few pix,
while they made their rounds elsewhere.

Further down a block away,
saw ppl looking in a direction.

Went up and saw Pritam having an interview,
while Chen Show Mao walked towards other direction,
looking sternly at a contesting poster.

My attention was riveted to another.
Out of the blue, their chief Low Thia Khiang appeared
walking towards our location,
as the uncles+aunties extended their hands for a congratulate.

Thrilled, I immediately went forward for a hand-shake,
as I was congratulating him, I proposed a suggestion:

" Mr Low, 我可以和你拍个照片吗？"

"可以! 当然可以！"

What else,
since it was the 1st day of the start of a minimum 5 yrs stint
to meet the people's demand.

As he replied he sought for
his own photographer to prepare,
while I sought for mine.

Except my mum who did not want to assist
because she didn't kw how to use my iphone,
I did a quick scan- all uncles and aunties around.

Gosh, boh bian due to time constraint,
I passed my phone to the nearest uncle,
hoping he'll b able to put faces on the screen
instead of taking my chest.

With a smiling face, he readily held my phone,
then asked:

"Press which one huh?"

Gosh I've forgotten to teach him,
tot other than my mum everyone has an iphone.

"Touch the screen icon, 

NOT the lower button (home button)"

As I posed with the famous guy,
on my mind, I was worried, thinking:

"I am going to kill u if u press the HOME BUTTON"

Luckily I glanced at the screen, two heads,
okie swee lar uncle! U passed!


My list of target (in order):

1) Chiam See Thong (for being my hero!)
2) Nicole Seah (for being popular)
3) Tin Pei Ling (for being most hated)
I'll ask her to bring her kate spade bag to pose too.

Election results

Stayed awake to watch the results for this election.
Mid-way, realised,
I'm not watching 22 men chasing after a ball.
Strange I stayed to watch the results.

@3am plus, tonnes of WP's supporters
walking home after the celebration.
saw the joy on the faces.

It's not the results that matters,
but what we can get from it.
The biggest winner is Singaporeans.

Not politically,
but the ability to go after the same cause,
the unitedness, shows evidently
Spore spirit is still alive.
"We have rediscovered
the pride to be a Singaporean"-
quote frm Nicole Seah,
which I strongly agreed.

Partly driven by power of internet.
An eye-opener indeed.

Whichever party,
candidates,
citizen,
everyone's a winner tonite!

It's polling day!






1st tme voting for wifey

Disappointing Election

2011 Election.
A hotly contested,
fervently followed,
but also highly disappointing.

There are so many instances
when a party violated the electoral rules,
yet, nothing has being done.

Where's the policing?
Where's the D?

I don't wanna state the party involved.
It's all in FB.

Such disappointing tactics,
ungentleman acts,
add in a minister-to-be
voicing a swipe online
at another candidate.

Such a childish act,
by such a 'high-quality' candidate.

Come tomorrow nite,
tat person could be laughing,
victory could still be tat person's.

Yet another injustice of life.

Pao Xiang Bah Kut Teh

Noon tme, I was @Pao Xiang to try their bah kut teh.

Large restaurant space,
with alot of empty tables.

The store was covered with posters of
mouth-watering bah kut,
taken @their very best angle.

四大天王

Even appearing, their very own 四大天王 poster.
promoting their 小骨，大骨，中骨。。。etc etc.
Wonder which 骨 Aaron Kwok belongs.

I saw their menu and got a shock, which I'll touch on later.

Bah Kut Teh

I told the guy I wanted normal bah kut,
when my orders came,
frm the appearance, not bad.

They told me the BAH was cooked with herbal.
Okie, my spoon stirred the soup and sipped.

Disappointingly, the herbal
was not strong to make any impact.
It did not have tat desired herbal fragrant.

Although having said so, the meat was tender,
quite easy to rip the meat off their bones.

After 10mins of eating,
bubbles started popping out frm the soup,
followed by sizzling sound.
Solid fuel well hidden in the secret compartment of the bowl.

damn heart-aching.

Rally @Serangoon Stadium

Was at the Workers Party rally @Serangoon Stadium.
My maiden attendance at rally.

Being KS, me+Laiyeow reached the stadium 6.40pm,
as we kw last rally for Workers Party confirm damn packed.

As expected, the stadium seats were already filled.
On the pitch crowds already swarmed & filled up most of it.

We moved forward, choosing a good position to stand.
Crowds cheered when the rally started,
with occasional shouts from individuals tat made us cracked with laughter.

What a fun nite, wat a fun occasion.
One which united the citizen.

Perhaps being held in a stadium,
it epitomized an important soccer 
bringing back fond memories of Spore vs Malaysia match.

Yet this seems more as though
Spore team in World Cup.

Uncles waving the flags,
aunties clapping,
the young shouting the magical 2 words.

Totally spontaneous, from the heart.

Just like what the opposition candidates shared,
while they were going ard the estates,
some residents, after hand shaking,
went back to their homes
and bring out packets of drinks.

Actions tat truely elicit from the heart
can be so magnificent & of such beauty.

The united people shouting the same words,
having the same thoughts,
supporting the same cause.

I was thankful I was there for the rally.
5yrs of waiting if I've missed this.

The trend of going to rallies
even hit on my mum+sis,
who joined us later but were unable to squeeze in.

The chanting frm the crowd,
the passion in their eyes,
what I can say is 'change is in the air'.

On my way out the stadium,
a senior uncle spoke loudly in Hokkien:


" This kind of turn-out,
two stadium also not enuff. "

Then out of the blue,
an aunty retorted:
"5 yrs ago, also like tat,
but they still lost."

Immediately drew few worried faces.

That uncle, as if reading frm the script,
replied immediately:

"If like tat liao still can't win,
then also BOH BIAN LIAO!"

Laughter.

But then again, who knows?

Election Fever

Election 2011
proves to be different frm the previous rounds.

Passion fanned by the advent of FB.Tonnes of shout-outs on FB,
sharing youtube, links, PS photos on all the parties.

Youngsters not keen politically?
Evidently, not anymore.

My believe is the extra compound of
anger+disenchantment with the ruling party tat plays a part
in this strong followings.
Citizen needs a venue to release them.

People's engagement in the topics,
reminds me of World Cup,
when we glued to TV,
& partake in Kopi chats.
Whole nation was participating.

Nowadays, checking for uploads of youtube,
rallies & shout-outs seems to be part of my routine,
my maiden rally appearance will be tonite (hopefully).
Wanna have a feel of TAT passion!

Those who ardently follows election on FB, attending rallies,
will feel a sense of emptiness & loss after Saturday.

Be prepared to suffer frm post-election syndrome!
