The Menu

Surprised at 9pm still packed
wif mostly teenagers.

Do we feel out of place?
DEFINITELY NOT.

We sat and ordered followings:

Works Burger

The works burger.
Compelling to put this into mouth,
This burger consists of ribeye beef patty,
topped wif battered onion rings, crispy bacon,
egg, basil pesto mushroom, sweet onion jam, cheddar cheese,
barbecue & aioli sauce on coral lettuce,
tomato on a toasted caramelised onion bun.

Let me dissect:

Yummy

We shared one coz it's our supper.

Take a bite & u can feel the tender beef juice.
Haha. Just the 口感 lar.

Nice! Thumbs up.
They've few other interesting burgers on their menu as well,
so make sure u try more others.

Onion Ring

Add another $4 for onion rings.
Deeply fried,
can see the whole string of pure onion peel
once u take the bite.








Good good.
We'll have dinner ther next tme
so can try different burgers.

Pain, regret & remorse

I am back frm medan.

B4 i blog on medan,
After doing some prayers for my dad and ancestors.
All of sudden alot of feelings to shout out. to blog.
All thoughts break loose if u blog in the middle of a late nite.

Thoughts tat i just can't contain & wan let loose.
I just need to shout & vent thro. a medium.
Guess this is onli the place i dare to.

失去的痛，
不在一瞬间
而是在日常身活中

I miss my dad.

During the prayers i got a strong desire
to really go up to master monk to ask him to open my eyes
to let mi see dad when he comes for the offerings.

Perhaps i don't have the guts to request.
For he or others might find mi silly.
Or i might get a scoldin for requestin for
something impossible.

Maybe when he opens my 3rd eyes,
It might not close again.
Or maybe,
I would feel worst off if i manage to c anything.
But i just wan to kw hw he is doing.

When a person is nt ard
Then u realise
& reminisce hw much as a children u've failed to
care for yr parents beside u.

We shout at them, vent our fustrations at them when they ask questions,
esp trite & lor soh ones.
When they'r actually showin their care+concern.

Let's b honest wif ourselves:
Have u ever shouted @ them for small,
trivial issues?

Did their qns cause a slice of yr flesh to fall off?
I admit i am a culprit.
Esp in this stressful environment.

I would like to share a small secret.

Once when my dad was walking
quite slowly infront of me,
slowing me dwn as i am behind him,
along tat narrow path.

I heaved a sigh of impatience.

Inner thought:
"ah yoh why so slow?"

Nvr did i kw his tumor impeded his pace.
And nvr did i kw i will nvr have the chance
to say sorry to him again.

原来，不只回忆痛，后悔更痛。

Is it wrong to walk slowly?
It's just tat i wanna b fast.

Since then, i told myself,
I'll nvr shout back at my last remaining parents again.
It's now down to how u make them happy,
when they aged and we grow older.
I'll try bery hard nt to.

Time will nvr wait for u,
and time will, and can nvr revert & regress.
Sadly onli memories will.

Don't make the same mistake as me.

Medan

Going Medan for prayers.

HK Sun Kee Dessert

Had lunch yesterday @HK Sun Kee Dessert, Tampines 1.

Limited selections on their menu.

Food!!!

We ordered their beef noodle.
Nice. The bouncy smooth noodle.

Then also we had carrot cake.
1st sight not appealing. Like two white dou fu.
Wif nothing much on it.



Surprisingly it tasted okie.
Nvr judge by its dull dull looks.


Then their milk tea was good.
We love milk teas in HK,
so this one tasted just as if they've imported those.
Fragrant yet not excessively sweet.
Try ther next tme!

Tink their white balance sensor issue, unable to detect the right balance.

I'll monitor other photos next tme. If problem can't be resolve,

Inception

I have been forewarned by those who’ve watched Inception
of the confusing storyline.

Thus for most of the story I watched wif full attention.

Stars:
Leonardo Dicaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ellen Page, Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy, Michael Caine




Story:

Mind-secret-stealing expert Dom Cobb was engaged by a mysterious businessman.
More difficult this time, instead of stealing, he is supposed to do the opposite-
plant the seed of an idea.

Wif the help of his team,
he will have to venture deeply-
several layers of dreams.

Yes, he dared to take up this appointment
when nobody dares becoz he’ve done it before- on his wife.

As the story progress, the past of Cobb come back to haunt him emotionally.
What is the underlying story btw them?
Sit tight, as a contentious ending awaits u at the end of the show.


How I feel:

At the beginning I was quite sianz as I was expecting attention grabbing scenes.
After some patience, the story creeps in.

Great idea to work ard the ‘dream of a person’.
Onli regrets is the complexity as they try to jam pack everytin within 2hrs+

They shld have taken a step back, and clear up confusion.
Instead of just linking everything & presume we’ll understand.

For a while Leonardo Dicaprio appeals to me.
He was always trying to act cool and calm in his other endeavours,
trying to act charismatically to impress.
Total failure.
Where’s tat guy who sank on tat ship?

Yet in his movie, he’ve impressively portrayed tat distressed role.

Cobb also carry wif him a spinning top, as a totem to represent his connectivity wif the reality.
If it spins continuous,
he’s in a dream,
otherwise, in reality.

The movie ends with open-ended conclusion: -
Is Cobb in reality or still in a dream?

He’s in reality becoz~
He wears his ring in dreams, but not in reality.
In the final ending, he does not wear his ring.


He’s in a dream becoz: ~
The two children still wearing the same shirt & still haven’t aged after years.
The spinning top keeps spinning, depicting in a dream.


My Review:

3 1/2 OUT OF FIVE

A good movie, good idea.

Although the plot is complicated and u will have to pay attention.
Isn’t tat wat happens in a dream?

Copycat !

The trailer was captivating.
I was referring to new Channel 8 serial, Unriddle (最火搭档).

The 1st episode so similar to HK's Infernal Affairs (无间道),
where the police raid on the bad guys was folded,
followed by both parties suspecting a traitor.
Their 'heads' questioning their followers.

Exactly mimic the storyline.
Disappointing... isn't tat copycat?

Memory flash back to their 红星大奖,
when a top local director showcase
his supposedly self-directed clip.

Two ppl playing table tennis,
then 3D kinda 'rotating' the table and players.
Omg. Tat's also copycat.
Supposed to be novel yet it's exactly the same as wat I saw in Jap's 超级变变变.
After showing the clip, there were claps & cheering.
Well done! Well done!

If I am tat guy I won't dare to show it on nationwide TV.
A shame, total creativity disaster.

Tot our govt pushing for Sporeans to be more creative?
Yet copycat blatantly shown on TV?

Then now, tat same storyline frm 无间道.

Now, claps & cheering please for job well done.

Iphone 4 reviews

Days ago I got an sms frm M1 telling me it's my turn for collection.

Here's my review after bringing it out for 1 day.


Plus points:

1) Superb screen resolution

Exactly wat their boss has mentioned~
It's as if reading on paper print-out.
Majiam the words can jump out like tat.
Shiok. Something tat's unprecedented.
As if u'r short-sighted,
1st tme wears contact lens, open eyes then a 'wow' sight.

2) Internet speed is super fast *

Press on a link, count to less than 3, and ur pg is ready.
(Maybe my old model is 3G, which is like Old Granny)

My comments on:

Multi-tasking
Our old genius got it wrong.
Double-click on home button to see those apps running background.
No, I correct myself- they didn't run, they'r just stagnant.
Perhaps for quicker launch tme since those apps did not function in the background.
All being said, it's better than none.

Folder
Okie. This one is user friendly, better than wat a jailbreak iphone can offer.

Camera wif flash
Camera improves,
however the flash at tmes causes orangy face.

Death grip
Tat's one issue friends keep asking.
Yes, e signal bars dropped when u cover that 'death' portion of phone.
Since I am using casing, I tink it wun affect.

Signal/ reception
It's omg for this one.
The signal bars fluctuates.
Indoor at home, onli 1- 3 bars.
Outdoor mostly 3-4 bars.

No drop calls yet. (hope. hope)
* At tmes IF the bar is at 1-2,
there is possibility tat net surfing would be affected.
Pause/ slower loading time.

Overall experience~ shiok!
