Cool, now at least my phone differs among the crowd.

Uniquely, in the dark

it emits a meager of light frm the front LCD.

Texas Chicken vs KFC

Texas Chicken

Stayed away frm fried chicken for quite some time liao,
due to disappointment in KFC's quality.

Walked past this Texas outlet was tempted by the fragrance.
Thus we sat dwn to determine if this would change our belief.

Deep fried chicken

The chicken meat was very tender,

every savour analogous to eating lobster flesh.

Soft, yet wif a chewy bite.

Although inevitable for 'oil spill' to happen

when eating fried food,

the oil was moderately acceptable.

So... Hw does it measure?

‘腻’ to describe KFC's fried.

After a dumstick, guess my intestine swims in the oil pool.

On my 2nd or more servings,

chicken meal fades off into eating margarine.

However, I can sign up for buffet if served Texas chicken.

Tasty, retaining the crunchiness, yet no over-dose of oil.

Footnote:

Objectively, every palate differs.
This is my own opinion.

U might have preferred KFC to this.

Was it a meteor or UFO?

I sighted a bizarre object.

Was downstairs on the phone talking
when for no apparent reason I looked up
and saw something flying pass,
which I had supposed to be an aeroplane on 1st glance.

However the object seemed to have caught fire,
emitting a fiery tail.

Because I had expected a plane,
I thought something happened to it,
perhaps its wings caught fire.
thus I stared harder,
awed by what I tot was a witness of air disaster. 

On second thought, the object did not resemble a plane,
shape I really couldn't make of.

To my amusement, the object flew and vanished into the cloud.

I saw it for an estimate of 4 seconds,
enough for me to stare, to confirm I am sober.

No joke, no exaggeration, no fabrication.
I swear.
What could it be? I tried to analyze.

Before I go on, I used my iphone drawing apps and drew what I saw.
Also, got image from the web something similar.
Of course I didn't have the time to flash my video on it.

A meteor will be the most likely explanation,
since it's accompanied with a tail.

However I've only seen meteor rain which is white,
wif thin tails, flashing past in whatever directions,
instead of traveling horizontally.
This one did,
just like what a plane would.

Also, I can vividly recall when meteor rain was visible in Singapore sky,
I woke up to catch a glimpse,
& saw each flashing and disappearing way too fast.

One which seems on fire, or rather,
torching an orange light is unprecedented for me.
Even the meteor image I've gotten frm the web is rare sight
& might be visible only by telescope.

Certainly I can distinguish it's not
the conventional lightings from a plane flying at night. 

Then, what could it be? 

An unidentified flying object? Hmmm....


A question I can nvr get the answer.






 

triskaidekaphobia

Came across an interesting word.

'Triskaidekaphobia'

Chims,
a word with 17 letters.
Try construing the meaning without using dict.

The meaning:-
An abnormal fear of the number 13.

How interesting English is,
breaking up the words give no slightest hint to the number 13,
except tat it refers to being fearful of something.

The next hurdle- to spell it.

Try google on that.

ATECH RESULTS

My current incamp's main objective is atech,
the evaluation test for reservist units.

No reservist unit has ever gotten Recon 1 result.
Unfortunately our aim frm the top guy is this score.

We did our atech this week.

This morning went Pasir Laba camp for the result.

High Recon 2A.
Note the word before 'recon'.
We almost did the impossible,
if not for high casualties and a bad start.

Anyway who cares.

Surprise is the commendations from the empire on our unit:
Full of fighting spirit,
positive mindset.

That was totally different frm wat i've heard on the ground.
We mourn and curse everyday for the 1 mth stay.

Come Tues, we might even land the title of
"The best reservist unit in the history of SAF"
 after some confirmation work.

And again... who cares?

I am number four

Ironman without his steel

Cast:

Story:

Teenager John, the guy frm another planet,
is on the run frm enemies determined to destroy him.
The enemies must kill all the 6 children in numerical orders (???)
before they manifest their super-powers to overcome them.

While on planet earth, John, the number four guy on the hit-list,
falls in love with a girl,
thus decides to end his fugitive life
and face a fight wif his ruthless enemies.

How I feel:

Conspicuously this film aims to hit on both teenagers & adults.
School life love+ superpowers.

Laments the often banal stories of superheros.
The story is quite trite~

Starts off with introduction of the superhero John,
enrolls in school, meets a lover,
have to learn to self-control his magnificent 'super powers',
gather the rest to be formidable against dark forces...

I wonder if the next one will emerge after a bite from a cockroach.

Even John's superpower- the light+laser beam frm his palms
quite a copy frm Ironman.

Then again, find the rest to combine powers.
Another X-man?

The alien enemy gang,
rather than impressive,
fails both in terms of looks & powers.
Visibly more like disfigured thugs wif laser guns.

Evil needs to be more dark, I reckoned, for hero-fans.
Perhaps coming in their 2nd sequel?

My Review:

TWO OUT OF FIVE

Can watch, at least it doesn't veers off frm normalcy.
Can understand the story, can see teenagers fall in love,
which at times brings me back to college life.

However, I do prefer to wait for already prestige superheros.

black apple logo tat stands up frm the orange background.

Gun Metal

'Gun metal' colour adds a metallic element.
More classic perhaps.

Raspberry Pink

Wifey got this raspberry pink for her iphone.

Sweet pinkish colour,

top choice for the girls.
